LOCATION: DE MEERN
A small living room and kitchen are designed for a young family. Located in De Meern, this twenty years old house initially had dark and old fashioned materials used inside.
The design concept was based on creating a bright and a cozy space with a fresh atmosphere. Smoked oak chevron flooring is advised to be replaced with dark red oak parquet. Instead of a dark kitchen, a mat white kitchen with a massive wood countertop is designed. A rounded eating table with a jute rug on the floor is located in front of the kitchen window. A cozy dark grey L-shaped sofa has chosen and combined with Muuto Coffee table. They are completed with a wool carpet with green tones. For the wall behind the couch, a beautiful green color from Flexa is advised and combined with green plants. To get more light from the main door, the living room door is advised to change with a steel looking aluminum glass door. Ikea Eket modular units are chosen for TV unit and storages. Tom Dixon Beat suspended lightings advised for both living room and the kitchen, and are enriched with wall mounted and ceiling mounted black lighting accessories.
